The Weta cricket, endemic to New Zealand, is one of the largest insects in the world. There are a few subspecies of Weta in New Zealand, and this piece inspired by the male Wellington tree weta (Hemideina crassidens). With the introduction of non-native animals since colonization, the Weta have been disappearing due to higher rates of predation.
This piece is made of Nylon 12 Plastic, PA12, Polyamide and is skin-safe and dishwasher-safe.
